Dynapac take paving to the next level with its Leica Geosystems part of Hexagon 3D Machine Control partnership bauma
I speak to Sönke Demuth of Dynapac and Mark Bryant of Leica Geosystems next to its XD25 highway paver.
Soenke: With Paving it isn’t just about laying asphalt it’s about precision, efficiency, and safety.
Traditional paving requires close supervision, often putting workers in high-risk zones. The XD25 with 3D Smart Paving changes that. “We take a centre line for the machine to follow, and the screed automatically adjusts based on the design,”
“That means fewer people working near the machine, creating a much safer environment.”
Mark added: “With dual GPS positioning and a CAN interface, the system accurately places the paver within sub-millimetre tolerances. We can match existing pavements using a mix of 3D steering and sensor configurations and its fully adaptable to the project’s needs.”
