FRIDAYS IN THE GRAVEYARD
In this week's episode of Fridays in the Graveyard, Mindie Burgoyne talks about the grave of Littleton Dennis Teackle and his wife, Elizabeth Upshur Teackle. She is visiting St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Princess Anne, MD.

Littleton Dennis Teackle was a wealthy man who built a mansion and lived in Princess Anne, Maryland. The gravemarkers in St. Andrew's Episcopal Church graveyard are prominent, but the bodies of Mr. and Mrs. Teackle aren't under the markers. The wealth had dried up by the time Mr. Teackle died in 1850 and it seems they were both buried in unmarked graves - - location unknown.

Most local historians believe that they were probably buried at St. Andrews as that was likely their worshipping community. Eventually, markers were placed in a prominent spot memorializing the Teackles and their contributions to Princess Anne.

But where the actual bodies are .... is a mystery.
