Two young supporters of Just Stop Oil glued themselves to the frame of a Vincent Van Gogh painting at The Courtauld Gallery in London, calling for the government to end new oil and gas and for art institutions to join them in civil resistance.
The painting is Peach Trees in Blossom (1889), a view of an open plain outside Arles, France in early spring.

COP26 has failed: there are no meaningful commitments to halt fossil fuel production, our future now a reckless gamble.
Carry on emitting today and hope at some future date huge carbon sucking technology will solve the problem. Yet we know carbon is killing today, and global emissions are still rising.
Oil is more valuable than our culture, our heritage, our bodies. More valuable than the beautiful web of life on earth, more valuable than home.
