Hi. A while ago I bought a Marshall DSL20C but over time I was not very convinced by the sound, since although it had good gain it sounded very sharp and shrill. I was sure that it was due to the Celestion Seventy 80 speaker that comes from the factory, it seemed to me that it had a very small magnet. Luckily I have a Marshall 1960B Cabinet and I did not hesitate to connect it here, proving my theory that the speaker that comes from the factory does not sound so good. Searching the internet I found an English Celestion Greenback from the year 2000 and I did not hesitate to buy it. The change in tone is impressive, he gave the amp a full turn. Now it has a warmer and more classic sound, with less gain than before, but instead it has more definition. Now you enjoy playing with this amp. I highly recommend it but changing the speaker is a must!
