Sunny Side of the Street- Violin lesson

Sunny Side of the Street is a jazz standard well suited to the violin. In this lesson I concentrate on the Stephane Grappelli approach of a highly decorated melody, played as a slow ballad. I work through a transcription of eight bars of a Grappelli recording, and pick out some key features which can be used in a more general way. For contrast, I also play a version more in the style of Stuff Smith, with much more punch and attack.
