Travel Shorts: Nijmegen, Netherlands

Join me on a walk through the beautiful border town of Nijmegen, Netherlands.
Nijmegen offers a lot of different tourist attractions from endless shopping streets over historical buildings, a bunch of nice restaurants and cafés to the beautiful Kronenburgerpark with its ancient whatchtower and a small aviary and wildlife reserve.
Though only a few kilometers from the German border don't expect the locals to speak fluent German like in Venlo. Since a lot of international students live in Nijmegen you can easily get by in English though.
The only real downsides to a visit to Nijmegen are the very expensive parking fees.
