Violante Ferroni’s two eighteenth-century paintings in Florence return home after several years in the restoration studio with conservators Elizabeth Wicks and Marina Vincenti. As the artworks are put on permanent display in the ancient Hospital of San Giovanni di Dio – the venue for which they were created – conservators take us through the rescue process step-by-step, sharing new discoveries.
