This YouTube video will explain how to replace a Delta shower valve cartridge part #: RP19804. There are many different showers valve cartridges, make sure you buy the correct replacement cartridge that is compatible with your shower valve body.
If you have trouble accessing the bonnet nut, you can remove the escutcheon plate to give you extra working room to access the bonnet nut, many times you do not have to remove the escutcheon plate, however.
