Baha'u'llah & Peace (1 of 4): The Reconstruction of the Concept of Victory - A Talk by Nader Saiedi

This is the first part of a four-part series of talks given by Professor Nader Saiedi called “Baha'u'llah and Peace". In this talk called “The Reconstruction of the Concept of Victory”, Saiedi explores the concept of victory in the Revelation of Baha'u'llah.

This talk was given at the Santa Monica Baha'i Center in California, USA, on 12 Feb, 2018, and is part of four talks given by Dr. Saiedi that explore the context of Baha’u’llah’s Revelation as it relates to peace, and how the Revelation of Baha'u'llah reconstructs certain concepts.

Professor Nader Saiedi is well known for his books 'Logos and Civilization' and 'Gate of the Heart'. Born in Tehran, Iran, he holds a Master’s degree in economics from Pahlavi University in Shiraz and a Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Wisconsin. For over 25 years he was a professor of sociology at Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota. In 2013, he became the Taslimi Foundation Professor of Baha’i Studies in the department of Near Eastern Languages and Cultures at UCLA.
