I Failed The Approach Into Oshkosh.

This was my first time flying into the Ultralight field at Oshkosh, and I failed the approach.

At the time, I didn’t even realize I had done anything wrong — but when I reviewed the footage later, I thought, “That doesn’t look right.”
I could have just cut this all out, but I thought its good to tell the story, so others can learn from my mistake. Don’t fly the approach as I did.

✈️ The Journey:
My friend Ty and I flew from Idaho to Oshkosh in our two Kitfox Model 4s — Ty’s even had floats on his.
We made the trip in six legs over more than 14 hours of flying:
Idaho → Thermopolis
Thermopolis → Mobridge
Mobridge → Owatonna
Breakfast stop in Rushford
Rushford - Viroqua, WI. Planned the Oshkosh arrival, where I obviously didn't pay enough attention.
Final leg into Oshkosh
