This lecture, Karma and Freedom, was given by Swami Prabhavananda on October 18th, 1970 in the Hollywood Vedanta Temple.
Swami Prabhavananda was a disciple of Maharaj Swami Brahmananda, the spiritual son of Sri Ramakrishna. Swami P, as he was known by his disciples, knew many of the direct disciples of Ramakrishna and Holy Mother, Sri Sarada Devi.
This series of lectures was recorded by Govinda (Al Eschner), who is a long-time devotee and for years a member of the Board of Trustees of the Vedanta Society of Southern California.
Govinda and his family have graciously donated their tapes for digitization and online viewing.
