Moving Tomatoes plants from Yogurt Pots into 2nd season Fabric Bags filled with soil that I've improved year on year. The tomatoes were grown by me from seed on a windowsill using my home made light tubes.

OPEN QUESTION: This is the plan . I have left about 6" of tomato plant stem and the root system intact in the bag it is growing in. I have never done this before and I was wondering if the tomato plant would (come back to life) in the spring of next year. The idea being that the tomato plant would have a fully developed root system from the 'get go'. Have you ever done this / do you think it might work? Jim.
