Space Guerrilla is an arcade fixed-screen shooter game was released in 1979 by the Japanese company Omori Electric Co. Ltd. It is similar to Taito's popular Space Invaders, with some gameplay differences.
The player controls a laser cannon at the bottom of the screen to shoot waves of descending alien ships.
Like Space Invaders, the difficulty increases as aliens are eliminated, and there's an occasional "mothership" that crosses the top of the screen to award bonus points.
One of the main differences is that, in Space Guerrilla, the aliens move from the sides of the screen toward the center instead of descending as a full formation. Additionally, the aliens can't be destroyed until they start moving.
