Antique Rusty Midcentury 'Old Table Lamp' Restoration

Restoration Video Overview:
In this amazing restoration video, we will restore the mid-century old table lamp which we found at Friday Market Gujranwala.

Let me share a bit of history about table lamps. It goes back almost a century to a British engineer, George Carwardine, who, in 1931, designed an articulating lamp with a heavy base and an articulated arm supported by springs, which could allow flexible movement of the bulb in various directions.

First we started the restoration process with disassembling, which eventually was quite fun. Next, we removed the old paint from all the parts; this turned out to be very satisfactory, cleaned each piece in a wire brush, after which we repainted the lamp, replaced the switch, and installed the new bulb. At last, we managed to reassemble everything and test it-the lamp works perfectly now!
