Finally unboxed and installed the Thrustmaster T598 direct drive wheel and took it out for its first laps.
In this video I go through a quick unboxing, setup on my rig, and my honest first impressions of how the wheel and pedals feel in-game. No script, no hype — just how it actually feels jumping in for the first time.
I mainly play on PS5 with Gran Turismo 7, and one of the biggest things for me is how easy console sim racing is — turn it on and everything just works. Coming from a Logitech G29, this felt like a massive upgrade in detail, smoothness, and overall immersion.
This is just a first look. I’ll be putting more hours on it and sharing longer-term thoughts soon.
