Long before the age of high definition and the internet, The Guitar Show pioneered a new era of television. As the world's first and only weekly program dedicated to the guitar, its players, and the craft, it captivated audiences every Monday night on Manhattan's Channel 16.

Launched on August 27, 1984, with a legendary on-location taping of Les Paul at Fat Tuesday's, the series showcased nearly 60 half-hour episodes featuring guitar virtuosos from every genre, guests included Les Paul, Jimmy Page, Zakk Wylde, Steve Stevens, Paul Gilbert, John Petrucci, Hubert Sumlin, John Hammond, Johnny Clyde Copeland, Joe Pass, Tal Farlow, Herb Ellis, Emily Remler, Bill Frisell, Pat Martino, Birelli Lagrene, Larry Coryell, Michael Hedges, Adrian Legg, Danny Gatton, and many others.

A cornerstone of the series is the extraordinary, two-hour episode featuring Les Paul and Jimmy Page, filmed at Les Paul's home on July 18, 1985, just days after Led Zeppelin's iconic Live Aid performance. This never-before-seen treasure offers an intimate look into the lives of two guitar titans. Divided into three captivating parts, the episode delves into personal stories, showcases unparalleled guitar collections – including Django Reinhardt's guitar, gifted to Les by Django's wife – and culminates in a historic dialogue between these musical giants.
