Was Sherlock Holmes the original autistic detective? This training explores why neurodiversity is important in investigations, intelligence and analysis.
Neurodivergent people can be incredible assets to an organization or service, but sometimes it can feel like a battlefield. During this special event with guest speaker Tanja Conway-Grim, we will explore and discuss why neurodiversity is important, what the challenges are, how to support an individual and to start thinking about neurodivergence at an organizational and leadership level. The following will be explored:
• We will have a personal assessment to see how to maximize your own assets.
• Discussion of the great strengths and interesting challenges of individuals with different abilities.
• Key strategies for analytical recruitment, onboarding and retainment.
• An exploration into how to get the best out of, and support, a neurodivergent co-worker.
Tanja Conway-Grim works across the National Health Service in the UK, with police services, community organization, higher education, and charities, especially in the field of autism, ADHD, neurodiversity, co-production, missing people, and suicide prevention. She sits on various strategic autism boards as well as on police panels and strategic advisory groups.
