This had always been available - with lots of hiss and 27 minutes! Also, there were glitches and dropouts in it. Well I have restored it to where, while not perfect, it’s infinitely way better than it was before! This final section was even more challenging, The fidelity was limited and it sounded a bit like it was recorded off of a transistor radio, but suffice it to say it’s way better than it was. Creatively the final 10 minutes is really stunning. Tommy’s ability to channel Jeff Beck inspired musical ideas and others is beyond quintessential “jamming”. It is an avalanche of utter inspiration and technical prowess - an ultimate fusion pastiche that is truly stunning. This is one of the great fusion performances I’ve ever heard. To make this digestible I’m subdividing it into 3 final tracks to make it much easier to digest how incredible Tommy Bolin was this day in June of 1976. What really made Tommy amazing was his musical gift and this is an ultimate manifestation of that! Once I’ve posted each of those three, I will post the entire 10 minutes as one experience. And then the entire 27 minutes as a restored experience.
