St. Nicholas's Church, Chaldon Herring (or East Chaldon)
Day of visit - 15/01/2026.
The North wall survives from the second half of the 14th century, but the present building otherwise dates from the 15th century, with extensive additions and alterations in the 19th century. The Chancel was widened in 1878, losing the Norman arch, a South arcade added and the South aisle widened. The organ, choir stalls and electric lighting date from 1900.
