This is a video designed for sports scientists, sport and strength coaches, and other practitioners working in sport on how to get the most out of Google Sheets for sports science and performance.
We go over how to use the UNIQUE function in Google Sheets. We learn how to remove duplicates automatically by applying this function for a list of athletes where names are repeated. We also learn how to integrate the FILTER function to filter out values that we don't want in our athlete list. Then, we create a drop-down menu with our unique list that we could use in a data-driven visualization.
This concept could be used to have an automatically-updating list of athletes in a report or an automatically-updating list of dates that drive an interactive time series chart.
