I'm Dr. Yvette Mattley, and I'm thrilled to be here today to tell you about the next generation of our NIR spectrometer, the NIRQuest+.
The NIRQuest+ is available in configurations covering the complete NIR wavelength range from 900 to 2500 nanometers, and it's customizable to fit your specific application needs. We have put our 30+ years of experience to squeeze every ounce of performance out of the components that we're using in the NIRQuest+, so it won't look any different to you than your standard NIRQuest, but the performance of the NIRQuest+ will look much different. I'm very excited to report that we are seeing 2.5 times increase in the sensitivity into the bench. For those of you who have ever worked in the NIR region, you know that we're always starved for light and the best way to get the most accurate measurements is to get more light into the system and that is precisely what the NIRQuest+ will do for you.
To accomplish this, we're using various indium gallium arsenide or InGaAs detectors, a thermo electrically cooled detector that will let you cool the detector down 40 degrees Celsius below ambient temperature. This keeps the noise very low, which also improves on your ability to detect low signal levels.
Ocean Insight was the first to develop a modular spectrometer approach. And in the case of the NIRQuest+, we've kept that going with different levels of throughput based on the slit that we use with different responsivity based on the gratings and can actually find its way out of the lab to make measurements or can be taken and set up very easily where the measurements need to occur. And as a whole, this enables our customers, our partners, to do so much more than they could ever do with these benchtop-integrated type of systems.
A very important part of the whole picture involving the NIRQuest+ is having the tools that you need to use the data that you're acquiring from that spectrometer. Oceanview will enable you to use your NIRQuest+ in absorbance, transmission or reflectance mode, in addition to providing a full range of features, including strip charting, customization of your data processing and many other features we want to quantify. We want to be able to determine sugar for fruit sorting, for example. Ocean has a companion to the NIRQuest+, called Ocean Intelligence, which is really going to allow you to take that spectral data to the next level.
The NIRQuest+ is ready for shipping today with custom configurations also available to match your specific application needs. That's it. That's the NIRQuest+.
