Cape Town's Unfinished Highways (Foreshore Bridge) | I almost got robbed!

I've always wondered what was up with these hanging highway bridges in Cape Town CBD. Did some research on them and found out they are part of the Foreshore freeway. The unfinished bridges (foreshore bridges) where designed to connect Eastern Boulevard (Nelson Mandela Boulevard) and the Western Boulevard (Helen Suzmann Boulevard) but the project was abandoned in 1977 when they supposedly ran out of funds. There have been attempts to finish these highways but all have failed for lack of support and most recently, corruption.
