Heirborne Beginnings VHS

Recorded August 5th, 1989 on a rented camcorder from some local video store. Opening titles were done on a friend's Commodore Amiga computer. Very fancy for the time. I was getting shipped off to Marine Corps boot camp a couple days later, so this was my last chance to hang out with the guys, and capture this video gold. Early versions of a couple songs that ended up on their demo are on this, and a couple songs that were never recorded. Nyk and Kenny were both in the band maybe a month at this point, so very new to Heirborne.

This is an Heirborne band practice. Who is Heirborne? They were a metal band from the Kansas City area. Started in 1988 and continued until 1991. They put out a 5 song demo tape called "Morbid Reality" in 1990, and had a song on a compilation of local Kansas City metal bands. When Heirborne broke up, Nyk and Shane went on to start Possession, and after that Frost Like Ashes. Kenny went on to start a band called Love on a Stick, and currently in The Magi. JJ went on to do IT work and currently living in Texas. Russ King disappeared from the face of the earth. From what I hear he was way more into blues and would rather play that style anyway. Too bad because the dude could shred!

I think the intention was to sell copies but I don't know if they ever did, so this is probably the only copy in existence.
