MORTEN HARKET - Natten [official music video w/ lyrics subtitles (NOR/ENG)]

The official music video for the song "Natten (=The Night, Silent Night)", from the album "Poetenes Evangelium (1993)" sung by Morten Harket. (words by: Jens Bjørneboe / music by: Øivind Varkøy). The poem was chosen from the anthology titled as "Poetenes Evangelium : Jesu Liv i Norske Dikt (=The Gospel of the Poet : Jesus' Life in Norwegian Poetry)" by Håvard Rem.

I tried to make the vid look & sound clearer... Though the image is still blurry, the sound was replaced with its ALBUM ver.** And I added the lyrics in Norwegian & English*** as subtitles

**Since the single ver. (or video ver.) has the strings part during the introduction once more than the album's ( I don't own neither of the single ver. nor high quality sound of video version...), I wanted to add something to avoid 15 seconds of silence - then reminded that the video for 'Salome' (   • MORTEN HARKET - Salome [official musi...  ) started with the thunder.
So, I brought the sound of thunder from a-ha's 'Crying in the Rain' again, and attached it to the beginning of the album ver. of this song. ...Sorry about that!

The original sound with the video had a few times of refrain of the organs which are the same as what you can hear in the beginning of the album version.

*** To find what the original Norwegian lyrics mean, I referred to some websites like the one introducing Jens Bjørneboe's works & fansites - and used some online dictionaries. If there were any incorrect descriptions in English subtitles, please excuse me for my misunderstandings.

Hmmm... this video looks SO BLUE... To me, the people in this vid look like someone(s) from the movie Avatar... oops... XD
