How to set up the NeurOptimal Home System at Home - Neurofeedback Training Co. Renters

This video is only for Neurofeedback Training Co. renters. These Instructions are by Amy, our Neurofeedback Trainer Coach in New York.

The setting up process is simple.

How to Start The NeurOptimal® Session

1. First Step: Connect your tablet to your wi-fi network (follow our step-by-step guide in video or printed manual that came with your rental)
2. Plug in the power cord (make sure the light is lit up on the cord connector plugged into the tablet). Also make sure the USB cord is connected to both the tablet and the zAmp (device with the sensors)
3. (Optional) Plug in your own headphones or earbuds or stream the sound from the built-in speakers. Works just as fine.

Start up the NeurOptimal® program by tapping on the icon in the lower task bar.

First time user?
Enter your name or initials (ignore anything else). This is where you will start your sessions from. Only enter your name once per trainee. If already entered a name but cannot locate it? Tap on "All" in the Vault window.

Hook up the 5 EEG sensors (check out our other video for instructions)
How do you know if you started a session correctly? Look for these three items: The light on the zAmp is lit up in green, the timer is counting down from 33 minutes in the smaller window of the vault, music is playing.
Time to relax! No need to focus on the screen. Sit back and relax, close your eyes or read, meditate, do whatever you feel inclined to do!
Once a session is over, the music will stop and your session is logged with a date and time below your name.
If done for the day, close the program, shut down the tablet and store it in a safe place.
