Sailing Around the Cote d'Azur (French Riviera) with Intrepid Travel

Sailing around the Cote d'Azur in France with Intrepid Travel has to be one of the most glamorous things you can do.

With ports like Cannes and St Tropez, at times you feel like you're in a Hollywood movie, but the little islands of Port-Cros and Porquerolles are the real jewels in the French Rivera crown. Here, you've got two of the most beautiful paradise islands you'll ever come across, and at times it's hard to imagine you're in France at all!

Add in the fact that you're sailing around from port to port and island to island with a skipper and an awesome group of people and it really is a trip to remember.

Most people think sailing around the Cote d'Azur in France is incredibly expensive, and unless you've just won the lottery and can afford a multimillion pound yacht it is, but there is another way to do it - on a sailing trip.

We went on the eight-day sailing trip with Intrepid Travel from Nice all the way down to Marseille stopping off at a number of places along the coast, and it was surprisingly reasonable too.

One of the best things about sailing around the French Riviera is you really do get to stop off wherever you like, and Vincent, our skipper, said no two trips are the same.

Also, it's not all hard work putting up the sails and scrubbing the deck, but more sit back, relax and sunbathe. This was definitely our type of sailing.

And finally, it's impossible going on a sailing trip without mentioning our other shipmates and sailors - it was these people that made the Intrepid trip such an amazing experience.
