Is it safe to cycle at night in Glasgow?

In this video I went to George square to check out the Christmas lights and have a look at what was there. from here I cycled out towards Maryhill on the cycle lane on Garscube road. It felt safe on this route at that time of night 2045 on Wednesday the 7th December as there was lots of people around but it can feel totally different when the area is quiet. I headed out to the end of the segregated lane then back into town. then i head west down Sauchiehall street and along Woodlands road, Eldon street, Gibson street then I turn onto Kelvin way. After cycling down Kelvin way I head back along Argyle street onto the Start of St Vincent street and turn onto the West city way.
