In this video I show you how to make a Christmas wreath from cotton fabrics using a pattern. Sewn with English Paper Piecing, I demonstrate a traditional basting method and whip stitch and show how and when to remove the paper, stuff with wadding and hang with a ribbon. Tah dah.. an ideal handmade decoration for your home or ready to gift.
Please remember that I'm not a business, not on commission or selling anything, but if I use a product then I recommend it.
In this video I use -
English Paper Pieces pattern from
www.paperpieces.com
Christmas fabric from a selection by Ebay UK Seller - niameg123
email - [email protected]
Other batiks & cotton fabrics from my stash including vintage Laura Ashley.
Gutterman Polyester Thread for basting.
Vintage Sylko cotton thread 50 wt. claret colour.
Cutter Bee Scissors - bought from a TV craft channel - suggest try Amazon.
Ribbons from a selection from Inspirations Wholesale, Bromborough, Wirral.
Soft polyester wadding.
Thanks for watching. It was a bit fiddly to sew and video at the same time, so I hope you get the idea. Did you guess the tv show that I was watching correctly? It was Big Brother with the voice of A.J. Odudu.
