Percorrendo l’entroterra salentino, raggiungo Supersano, un paese a metà strada sulla rotta che collega Gallipoli a Otranto.
Scorro in un mare di ulivi e salgo lungo il sentiero che mi conduce a Le Stanzie.
Un luogo unico e magico che per secoli è stato il centro di sosta dei viaggiatori in cammino verso il santuario di Santa Maria di Leuca. Una sorta di "statio" dell'antichità. Ed ecco svelata l’origine del nome: da "statio"... "Le Stanzie", la madre delle masserie di Puglia.
