Reflecting on my own experiences, I remember how overwhelming this time of the year felt back in 2014 in my second year. Trying to balance the various deadlines approaching from essays, exams to training contract applications - it all seemed impossible. 🤯
In this video, I go through the context of my background, the pressures of law school and how it led me to the decision to not actively apply for training contracts in my second year. Instead, I focused on my mental health and wellbeing by being mindful about my approach when it came to balancing law school and my career aspirations.
I hope this video provides some form of comfort for anyone who has to make a similar decision on balancing priorities during this application season.
