President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and First Lady Louise Araneta Marcos lead the grand re-opening of the PhilSports Complex, highlighting sports as a unifying force for the nation and a catalyst for national pride, unity and character development.
In his remarks, the President advocates reintroducing sports into schools to teach important life lessons early on and emphasizes the vital role of government support in athletes’ training, rest, nutrition and medical care.
He praises the facility’s revival and urges officials to make sure athletes have the resources they need to compete successfully, both locally and internationally.
