In the beginning of 2018 our company DAN-CZECH SPECIALTRANSPORT, s.r.o. rose to the occassion of transporting a column divided into 2 parts from Hradec Králové to the Port of Melnik on the river Elbe. The 102 mt and 46 mt heavy pcs were transported in 1 convoy on a 130 km long route in 2 days. The total dimensions and weight for the 102 mt part reached 39.50 (50.50 incl. push truck) m length x 6.30 m width x 7.60 m height – 189.00 (224 incl. push truck) mt weight and 30.00 m lenght x 5.70 m width x 7.00 m height – 101 mt weight for the 46 mt part . The transports required a lot of 3rd party assistances along the route such as power lines / wires shutting off / lifting, removals of the road facilities and ground adjustments. The Goldhofer Hydrualic Modular axel lines we used had to on few occasions change its driving directions while passing through some extremely tight spots & challenging sharp narrow turns etc. The cargo is being transported further by barge to North European sea port from which will be shipped to its final destination at Basrah refinery in Iraq.
