How to update your router
There are two main ways you can update your router:

-With an application: Most modern routers will have an application that can be used to manage the device remotely. After binding your router to your management account, you should be able to update your router’s firmware. You can usually find this in the system section of the device’s settings in the application.

-With a computer: If you like to update your router “the old school way”, you can do so by connecting a computer directly to your router with an ethernet cable. From there, you just need to use an internet browser to access the default location of your router’s settings. The default location of your router’s settings can usually be found on an informational sticker on the device. At this point, you’ll just need to log in with your router’s username and password and select the option to update your router.

No matter how you’re updating your router, you’ll usually have some sort of indicator or notification if an update is available for it when you access the device’s settings. In other words, it should be obvious to you if there is an update available for your router.
