Pregnancy Week 10 Ultrasound: 4D Ultrasound and Twins

In this week's ultrasound, we explore the remarkable development of your baby at 10 weeks. Building upon the foundation from last week's 9-week scan, we can now see key structures taking shape as your baby’s brain and spine become more defined.

Developmental Milestones at Week 10: Watch as the brain develops into a more recognizable structure, while the spine is visible as twin lines, forming the backbone. At this stage, babies often rest in a familiar position, with hands covering their faces, and their limbs become more defined, allowing for small, rigid movements that will become purposeful by week 12.

We’ll also touch on the earliest fetal anomaly scan, performed at 10 weeks, to check the development of critical structures. Plus, an exciting twist—Twins! We highlight a monochorionic diamniotic (MCDA) twin pregnancy, revealing how we detect twins as early as 6 weeks and how later scans, like this one, provide even more clarity.
