I recently saw one of the best shows I’ve ever seen — The Cribs at Adelaide Hall in Toronto. When I first started AMBY and had barely interviewed anyone before, Ryan Jarman was one of the first artists to cut me a break when he gave me the pleasure of directly coordinating an interview with him. Fast forward two and a half years (and 1,500+ interviews) later, AMBY is interviewing one of my favourite bands in-person.
Interviewing the lads meant a lot. AMBY has come a long way since that initial interview and part of that is because of fucking awesome artists like The Cribs who took a chance on us and gave us their time. With that said, I’m delighted to share our exclusive video with all of our readers! Enjoy our interview as we discuss van lag, the importance of b-sides, their forthcoming heavy “punk album”, how to be punk, being obsessive (with obscure sodas, space, and serial killers), and bringing back piercings.
