For today's free wire tutorial, I'd like to share my Chequerboard Bracelet, created with memory wire.

I've seen a lot of people online lately saying that they really aren't fond of memory wire. When I first started making jewellery, I absolutely LOVED it, but do have memories (haha) of finding it a bit tricky. With the benefit of more than a decade of traditional wire wrapping, I now feel much more confident using this hardened steel wire. I think that if you are firm and use the correct tools, this ready formed curved wire can be really useful.

I've made this 3 bar memory wire bracelet with 4mm round beads in contrasting colours, belcher chain scraps and a smidge of traditional 1mm/18g wire, plus a clasp.
