Love, Tenderness and Discipline (Kärlek, ömhet och disciplin) is a Swedish socialist satiricial song mocking conservatives, rightwingers and their usual talking points. The song is 50 years old but the arguments - how the world is degenerating and how they want tradwives and law and order - are still the same now.
The song is written by Mikael Wiehe, famous from Hoola Bandoola Band and one of the most well-known people within the world of Swedish communist and socialist music.
Originally it was part of the musical Sture Starring Story from 1975. In the story, the song was part of a Eurovision Song Contest where each song represented a multinational corporation like General Motors, Unilever and Volvo.
This live version is however recorded by Mikael Wiehe and Kabaréorkestern at a concert celebrating the 75th birthday of Kommunistisk Ungdom, the Communist Youth, in 1978. It's not too easy to get a hold of so I recorded it off the vinyl record made at the concert.
