On the 20th of May 2024, I drove from Kajang to Kota Baru, Kelantan. Along the way, I met up with another overlander friend and his wife. We had planned to meet up with another nine overlanding vehicles at the Laos / China border. We had spent the night at Bukit Bunga R&R before heading for the Thai border in the morning.
We stopped for lunch at a small Thai restaurant which served raw or blanched veggies together with fried chicken or fried fish.
We had planned to camp at a public park which turned out had loads of mosquitoes and no water for the toilets. So we headed back into town and met up with the 3rd overlander at a PTT station. After a quick shower and some dinner, we slept early as we had another long day planned for the next day.
