Presentation 'How can the IEO contribute to the establishment of the OECM?' by David Díaz, Scientific Vice Director, Spanish Institute of Oceanography (IEO) @ieoprensa at the #OECMsWorkshop – Other Effective Area-Based Conservation Measures-, organized by Cepesca within the Life #Intemares Project.
The workshop focuses on the identification, evaluation and presentation of reports on fisheries OECMs and how they can complement the Network of Marine Protected Areas to achieve the objective of "30% by 2030". Furthermore, it provides the opportunity for national authorities to exchange views with all interested actors.
Training included in the Training Strategy of the LIFE IP INTEMARES project LIFE IP INTEMARES: Integrated, innovative and participatory management of the Natura 2000 Network in the Spanish marine environment, coordinated by @fundacionbiodiversidad
It has the financial contribution of the LIFE Program of the European Union
