In this video from the 6.0 bros we have a how to video on, 6.0 powerstroke intercooler removal and upgrade! This has been one of the mods for the 6.0 powerstroke that I have really been wanting to do. The stock intercooler is a relatively stout piece however, the plastic end caps lend themselves to blow outs and boost leaks. The CSF 6028 intercooler is a great affordable option for 6.0 Powerstroke owners looking to upgrade, but not looking to spend north of $1000 to do it. This intercooler upgrade is a very nice piece with cast aluminum end tanks that are proven to be very reliable. Along with a bar and plate design core to help cool all the boost these trucks can make. There are several great options for intercoolers out there. You have the Banks tenchi-cooler intercooler system, mishimoto intercooler along with their intercooler pipes, spearco intercooler, and at least a handful more. The CSF 6028 intercooler however is about a third the cost of most of those. Now we are not saying anything bad about these other intercoolers, because they have already proven to be great options on more than just 6.0 powerstrokes. Now in this video we show you how to 6.0 powerstroke intercooler removal, and we show you the 6.0 powerstroke intercooler install. We also compare the CSF 6028 intercooler to the stock intercooler.
