RIYADH

• Go to Olaya St. walk around (hotels are good here to be central)
• Boulevard Riyadh City
o dancing fountain - high end malls, cool place to walk
• Downtown area- ultra modern King Abdullah Financial District and also visit the KAFD Grand Mosque here.
• Skybridge at Kingdom Center (pass by $18 to visit on top) Kingdom tower (aka Mamal-ka tower)
• Najd Village Restaurant 11 AM–1:30 AM
o Traditional restaurant, large, large proportions
• Murabba Historical Palace / King Abdulaziz historical centre 9AM - 7PM
o Entrance to Al Murabba Palace is free. No appointment is required. Drinks and food are prohibited. However, next to it is the King Abdulaziz Historical Museum, and entry is subject to a fee.
• Alsafat Square (WAS CLOSED for renovation WHEN WE WENT)
o The square, with its three water fountains, is huge. There is a big historical mosque near it. In the old days, capital punishments used to be carried out in this square
o Very cheap, good place to shop
• Al Musmak Fortress" and the area around it like Al Thumairi St - ok in AM (WAS CLOSED for renovation WHEN WE WENT)
o in this place you are going to see the old town and some historical markets and shops in the town where you can buy what ever you want from the cheapest place , but be care full from get'n fooled from the sellers or stolen from any one and try to go with some one from the locals
o Nearby is justice square while being a calm place where kids play football and adults enjoy the cafes there's another side to the place. 1 minute walk from there is carpet market where antiques, gold, traditional clothing and of course carpets are sold.
• Souk Al Zal, Souq Al Zel 3:30–10:30 PM
o Venture into a bustling old market, uncovering the essentials of Saudi daily life, and learn the ancient art of haggling before finishing one of Riyadh's finest souqs, a treasure trove of history, tradition, and unforgettable souvenirs.
