작품 설명: 가믈란은 전 세계적으로 유명한 인도네시아의 전통 악기입니다. 이 비디오는 2017년부터 한국에서 가믈란을 가르치고 있는 인도네시아의 가믈란 교사 Sugiarto에 관한 이야기입니다. Sugiarto는 한국에서 가장 높은 건물 롯데월드타워에서 가믈란 공연을 하였고, 한국의 국회에서도 공연을 하였습니다. Sugiarto는 현재 서울예술대학의 월드뮤직 프로그램에서 가믈란을 가르치고 있습니다. 그는 K-팝이 인도네시아에서 잘 알려진 것처럼 인도네시아 문화의 중요한 부분인 가믈란을 한국 사람들에게 더 잘 알려주기를 원합니다.

This video is the Special Prize winning work of the “2019 ACH Photo & Video Contest”, which was held in celebration of the 30th anniversary of ASEAN-ROK diplomatic relations.

Title: Gamelan music in Korea
Description: This video is about Sugiarto, an Indonesian gamelan teacher who has been teaching gamelan in Korea since 2017. Gamelan is a set of traditional Indonesian musical instruments that is famous worldwide. Sugiarto was the first person to give a gamelan performance at Lotte World Tower, the highest building in Korea. He has also presented gamelan at Korea’s National Assembly. Sugiarto now teaches gamelan in the World Music Program at Seoul Institute of the Arts. He wants to promote gamelan, an important part of Indonesian culture, better known to the South Korean people, just as K-pop is well-known in Indonesia.
