The MetWinds is an all-volunteer community band specializing in high quality wind literature since 1971.
This is the premiere performance of this new wind transcription by Buckley. He describes it as an attempt to capture the lightness and transparency of the original orchestral work by remaining as true as possible to the orchestral scoring and by avoiding unnecessary doubling in the wind band scoring.
Recorded live in concert by the Metropolitan Wind Symphony, Lewis J. Buckley, Conductor, in Lexington MA, 11/05/2017.
