Chirag Katti is one of the most gifted and talented Artist whose youthful exuberance and persona is well expressed through his music. He is considered as one of the most promising Sitarist in the field of Indian classical music. Learning Sitar from his father Pt. Shashank Katti, Chirag is an 'A' grade artist of A.I.R (All India Radio) and has also performed a National Program for AIR in the year 2017.
He is a recipient of the prestigious ‘Surmani’ award, an empanelled artist of Indian Council for Cultural Relations- ICCR, and a scholarship holder for Sitar by the Ministry of Culture New Delhi. (Government of India)
Chirag is one of the youngest musician recorded by Saregama H.M.V, the oldest and biggest record label company existing in India . At this young age Chirag already has many albums to his credit with reputed music labels like HMV-Saregama, Times music, Inner Splendor (New York) etc
A professional career that spans over 17 years, Chirag has performed on many television channels, radio, concerts and Music Festivals all over India and abroad. Apart from his several classical solo USA tours, he has also performed in Japan, South Africa, Austria, Dubai, Bangkok to name a few. His debut international solo concert was at Tokyo Radio Japan when he was only 16 years old.

As stated by Rave (International Magazine) in 2005 -
'There is little doubt that Katti has enormous talent-his playing is both studied and expansive, and he tackles difficult raags with panache. Also, his sitar skills bear the mark of years of practice’.

Chirag has also worked and played for many films, webseries, serials and private albums with music composers like Pyarelalji (Laxmikant-Pyarelal), Pritam ,Salim-Sulaiman, Ustad Taufiq Qureshi, Amit Trivedi, Sachin-Jigar, Anu Malik etc.

As a Sitar tutor and music educator, he has had the experience of teaching in an International school in Mumbai. He has also conducted quite a few lecture demonstrations and workshop especially in Universities, Colleges and Schools in USA.

Chirag has been appreciated for being a versatile Artist who has performed and worked in many different formats of Music.

Sitar Rhapsody is a World Music ensemble led by ace Sitarist Chirag Katti, who is also the primary composer of the ensemble.

Essentially, it is a fusion ensemble that blends original melodious compositions based on Indian Classical music art form played through Sitar, to create a unique, classy contemporary sound,that is not only engaging but also hi-energy.
The ensemble features some of the finest young musicians on the World music scene in India.

Sitar Rhapsody’s Music: Chirag has made a conscious effort to make the band sound unlike other fusion bands on the live circuit, by picking on rarely experimented with Indian Classical Raagas such as Pilu and fusing them with not so often fused Western music genres such as Blues. The band also often pleasantly surprises their live audiences, by throwing in Classical-fusion versions of classic mainstream songs, not only from Bollywood, but also those from Western greats such as The Beatles and Bob Marley, etc., in between their raag-based original compositions.
