The holidays are always a wonderful time of year but, let's face it. After a few hours of gifts, food, and family, it's nice to break off a little time to hit some balls and see where things stand. As you can see, things are not standing very well with me - nothing but frequent mistakes as of late, so there's a lot of work still to do.
When I play alone, I modify the typical ghost rules in that it's only a loss if I miss an easy shot and no ball in hand after the break. (Taking ball in hand after the break never made sense to me because it's so uncommon for the lowest numbered ball to dress up perfectly after the break.) And even then I was kind of relaxing the rules. I mean, it was Christmas Day, after all.
