1. Texas Legends Basketball Game
If you’re looking for an affordable night out in Frisco, catching a Texas Legends game is a must. I really enjoyed watching this game and best of all tickets are so cheap! You can get great tickets paying only 10 to 30 dollars. Parking is free if you don’t mind a short walk as there is a big mall and empty lots across the street. I was really impressed at how good the view from every seat is so don’t stress about getting a first row seat as every seat feels super close. The only downside was the food prices as the stadium food almost cost as much as my ticket. Catching a sports game in Frisco was so fun, and I highly recommend going to a Texas Legends game if you can.
2. The Star District
The Star District is more than just the Dallas Cowboys’ headquarters—it’s a vibrant spot to enjoy a game and so much more. On game days, fans gather to watch on a giant jumbotron set over a turf field, creating a laid-back, family-friendly vibe. Best of all, it’s free! One big tip, though, is remember to bring your own blanket and chairs if you have them. Beyond the game, you’ll find great restaurants, trendy shops, and lively bars that make it a fun destination any time of year. What is a huge relief is you don’t have to worry about parking. There’s free parking in a covered garage just feet away from the turf field.
3. National Videogame Museum
This place was a huge dose of nostalgia for me as I grew up when th Sega Saturn and the Super Nintendo were huge hits in the 90’s. Visiting this museum was like a trip back in time for me. The exhibits are packed with retro charm, including rooms styled like old-school arcades and a wall displaying every major console alongside its release year. It’s a fascinating trip through gaming history that’ll give you a whole new appreciation for how far things have come. There’s a retro arcade room where you get free tokens to play classic old school arcade games. With tickets priced at just $12 for adults and $10 for kids, it’s an affordable and fun outing for gamers of all ages.
4. Frisco Commons Park
Frisco Commons Park is the perfect spot for some outdoor fun. Whether you’re there for a family picnic, an event at the pavilion, or just to let the kids enjoy the huge wooden playground, there’s something for everyone. The park also has a beautiful community garden and plenty of open spaces for relaxing or playing. There’s always fun things to do at Frisco Commons Park. For instance, they had a camping under the stars’ event, which I found surprising because Texas can still be quite hot even in the fall months.
5. Little Elm Beach
While technically not in Frisco, Little Elm Beach is just a short drive away and a great place to soak up the sun. There are plenty of volleyball courts to play with friends, jet ski rentals to see the lake and a large beach to catch the sunset in the evening. The only downside at Little Elm Beach is the parking isn’t free and costs 10 dollars. However, the park is very clean and is a great spot for the entire family to enjoy.
That’s everything! I hope you enjoyed this list of things to do in Frisco, Texas and will come visit this great city some day!
