Agios Georgios Paphos – New Developments & Surprises!

Today Julie and I head out to Agios Georgios near Paphos, Cyprus – not just for the stunning sea views and the famous little white chapel, but to check out the big changes happening in this once sleepy spot! 🏗️🌴

Agios Georgios (or St. George’s) is a peaceful coastal gem just outside of Peyia, known for its charming harbour, ancient basilica ruins, and that postcard-perfect chapel on the cliff. But on this visit, we found something very different... construction! cranes! new roads! 😲

So what's really going on here? Is this going to be the next big tourist hotspot? A luxury marina? A secret Bond villain lair? (Okay, maybe not that last one... or is it? 👀)

Join us as we wander around and show you what’s new, what’s changing, and what’s still beautifully untouched – is this the future of Paphos or just another fancy project?

The chapel here is one of the most photographed in Cyprus 📸
The area is a hotspot for sea turtles nesting 🐢
Agios Georgios translates to “Saint George” – protector of travellers (handy for us!) 🙌
The area was once a key Christian pilgrimage site, with ancient tombs and ruins still visible!
