A baby chimpanzee had staff at the Maryland Zoo “cracking up” as it nested inside of a giant paper-mache egg in April, ahead of Easter.
The adorable baby chimp, named Ivy, was caught making herself a home inside the decorated egg in a video shared by the zoo on Sunday.
“Because why hunt eggs when you are the surprise inside,” the Maryland Zoo wrote in a post on X.
According to the Maryland Zoo’s official website, Ivy was born in June 2024 and is the newest of the zoo’s four juvenile chimps.
