On my 21st Appalachian Trail section, day hiker Michele Kirk joined me for her 1st backpacking and overnight section. The first day began at Sam’s Gap (off I-26 at the NC/TN border) hiking 25.4 miles southbound (SOBO) down to Uncle Johnny’s Hostel in Erwin, TN.
My friend Scott Low has generously allowed his music to be used in the videos on this channel. He resides in Clayton Georgia. This past August, Scott won the single artist category of The Atlanta Blues Society's 2025 Blues Challenge, and Scott's new album, “Grateful Blues” is #10 on the Georgia Blues Chart. Scott is also a master fly fisherman, providing workshops on how to effectively catch rainbow trout.
