If Unbelief is SIN, Belief is a GOOD WORK!

As observed elsewhere, sin-loving, fake Christian Easy Believists like Ono, jacksmack, PraiseIam, Charles Jennings, and their fellow reprobates trolling below tell us there is nothing meritorious about their belief in the Gospel. They insist that since they are merely passive recipients of their belief, this saving ideation can in no way be considered a "good work" on their part. And because belief in the Gospel is not a good work, they have not been eternally saved because of anything good they have done. In hushed tones exuding faux humility they will tell you that Jesus did all the saving work for them. Hallelujah!!!
If that is true, why does the NT explicitly and repeatedly condemn the opposite of belief - unbelief - as "sin" (cf. Matt 17:20; Mk 16:14; Lk 12:46; Jn 3:13, 36, 16:9; Rom 11:20, 23; 1 Cor 7:14; 2 Cor 6:14; Titus 1:15; Heb 3:12, 18-19, 4:6, 11; Rev 21:8; etc. )? Indeed, in 1 Jn 5:10 we read, "Whoever believes in the Son of God has this testimony in his heart. Whoever does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because they have not believed the testimony God has given about his Son."
So if unbelief, i.e., hearing and then rejecting the Gospel of Jesus Christ, is to be considered the wickedest of sins, how in Blazes could the exact opposite action – choosing to reject one’s current life trajectory in favor of accepting Jesus Christ as Savior and Master - not be a good work? Why on earth should unbelief be considered a deliberate act of evil when belief in the Gospel has been declared to be a morally neutral, non-action/work? Could it be because Sola Fide requires us to engage in this type of illogical, nonsensical, cognitive dissonance? 🤔
